Google employees in New York for the first time demonstrated the work of modular smartphone Project Ara, which the search giant is developing in close collaboration with Phonebloks.

Google representatives have clearly shown how the replacement of modules, in particular their smartphone without having to turn off one of the modules was replaced by a heart rate sensor. Then, on the Project Ara was launched cartoon and popular game Angry Birds.

More advanced model in the Project Ara Google plans to introduce on January 14 in the US and 21 January in Singapore during conferences devoted to the project of the same name. The release of the first modular smartphone is expected in January 2015.
